A complete pod kit is the whole system in one purchase: the rechargeable device that holds the battery and the electronics, plus at least one prefilled pod that clicks or slots into it. Buy a kit and you are ready to go the moment the box is open and the device has taken its first charge. Buy pods on their own and you are assuming you already own the matching device. That single distinction is the reason this category exists as a separate shelf on our site, and it is the first thing worth getting straight before you spend anything.

Choosing a kit therefore chooses your pod aisle for as long as you keep the device, so glance at the pod range before committing to hardware.

Why the prefilled format exists at all

Refillable tanks ask you to buy bottles, measure liquid, watch wicking and replace coils on a schedule. Prefilled pods ask none of that. Liquid, wick and coil arrive together in a sealed shell; you remove a stopper, press the pod home and use it until the flavour tails off, then the whole assembly goes to a recycling point. The trade is simple: you give up fine control and a lower cost per millilitre, and get back convenience.

In the UK, that sealed pod is also capped by law. Any pod containing nicotine may hold a maximum of 2ml of e-liquid, and the strength of that liquid may not exceed 20mg per millilitre. Both figures are ceilings rather than targets, and every pod we sell sits inside them. Separately bottled nicotine e-liquid is limited to 10ml per bottle, which is why the 10ml nic salt bottles we stock are all that size and no larger.

Anatomy of a prefilled pod kit

Under the wrapper, all seven of these kits share a family resemblance. Knowing the parts by name makes the rest of this page easier to follow and makes troubleshooting far quicker if something ever behaves oddly.

The battery section

The lower portion is a sealed body containing a rechargeable cell, a control board and the contacts that meet the pod. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Every kit here recharges over USB-C, the connector used by most modern phones and laptops, so you almost certainly own a suitable cable. We do not quote battery capacities on this page, because the figures circulating are inconsistent. These are pocket-sized devices designed to be topped up little and often.

The pod and its mesh coil

The pod is a small transparent or tinted plastic reservoir holding up to 2ml of e-liquid, with a mouthpiece moulded into the top and a heating element sitting in a chamber at the bottom. Lost Mary pods use mesh coils, meaning the heating element is a perforated metal sheet rather than a wound wire. A mesh sheet presents a broader, more even surface to the wick, which tends to produce a consistent flavour across the life of the pod rather than a bright start followed by a long decline. We do not publish coil resistances for these pods, for the same reason we avoid battery figures.

The pod attaches either by a firm click into a recess or by magnets, depending on the range. Both are one-handed operations. Neither needs force. If a pod does not want to seat, something is misaligned or the pod is from the wrong range, and pushing harder will not fix either problem.

Airflow and the MTL draw

All of these kits are built around a mouth-to-lung draw, usually shortened to MTL. You pull vapour into your mouth first, hold it briefly, then inhale. The airflow channel is deliberately narrow, so the draw feels tight and controlled rather than airy. Coming from a large direct-to-lung device, an MTL kit feels restrictive for a few draws and then feels normal.

The charging port, the button that usually is not there, and the display

Firing is draw-activated. There is no fire button; a sensor detects the pressure drop when you pull on the mouthpiece and powers the coil for as long as you draw. Nothing to press accidentally in a bag, nothing to forget. Charging is over USB-C.

Lost Mary BM600 Prefilled Pod Kit Bundle — £14.95

The bundle is the same device paired with pods in a single listing, which removes the awkward first-week gap where the kit has arrived and the refills have not. BM600 pods are £4.95 individually, so bundling device and pods together at £14.95 collapses what would otherwise be two or three separate decisions into one. For anyone confident that the BM600 is the range they want, this is the sensible opening order.

Lost Mary BM6000 Prefilled Pod Kit — £11.95

The BM6000 sits a clear step above the BM600 in the range and costs £11.95 for the kit. It is a rechargeable USB-C device taking BM6000 pods, which are sold at £6.95 each as a pod plus refill, or £25.00 for a box of five. Lost Mary BM6000 Prefilled Pod Kit - 10mg — £11.95

Mechanically identical to the listing above, this version ships at 10mg per millilitre rather than the 20mg maximum. It exists because a fair number of people find 20mg stronger than they want in an MTL device and would rather not discover that after buying a box of pods. Same price, same device, milder liquid.

Lost Mary BM6000 Prefilled Pod Kit - 0mg — £11.95

The 0mg BM6000 kit contains no nicotine at all. It is the same hardware at the same £11.95, and it is bought by people who want the flavour and the ritual without the nicotine. Worth noting: the 2ml pod cap and the 20mg strength cap are nicotine rules, so a 0mg pod is not bound by the same strength ceiling for the simple reason that there is nothing to cap. Two things fall out of that table. First, the cheapest kit is not the cheapest system to run, because pod price matters far more over time. Second, the gap between the dearest and cheapest kit is £10.00, less than two BM6000 pods. Hardware price is a small part of the total.

Pods are range-specific, and this is the rule that matters most

If you take one thing from this page, take this: Lost Mary pods do not interchange between ranges. The pods are shaped, keyed and electrically matched to their own device, and a pod from a different range will either refuse to seat or will seat without making proper contact. Neither outcome is useful and neither is recoverable.

• BM600 pods fit the BM600 kit. They do not fit the BM6000, the Nera 15k, the Nera 30k or Tappo.
• BM6000 pods fit the BM6000 kits, including the 10mg and 0mg versions, which share the same device. They do not fit the BM600, the Nera kits or Tappo.
• Nera 15k pods fit the Nera kits. They do not fit either BM range or Tappo.
• Tappo pods fit the Tappo device only. They do not fit any of the seven kits listed on this page.

The practical consequence is that choosing a kit locks in your pod aisle. Before you buy, it is worth spending two minutes browsing the pods for that range and confirming there are at least three or four flavours you would genuinely be happy to use. Someone who only ever reaches for menthol will be well served by any of the ranges, because every one of them carries a mint or menthol option and our dedicated mint and menthol selection shows the spread. Someone with a narrower taste should check first rather than after.

Nicotine strength: what the three BM6000 options mean

This category is unusual in that it lets you pick your strength at the hardware stage rather than only at the refill stage. The BM6000 kit is listed three ways at the same £11.95: as a standard kit, as a 10mg version and as a 0mg version. The device does not change. The liquid in the pod does.

The 20mg ceiling and what it is

Twenty milligrams per millilitre is the maximum strength permitted for nicotine-containing e-liquid sold in the UK, and it applies equally to a sealed pod and to a bottle. Because the 2ml pod cap and the 20mg strength cap are both rules about nicotine content, a 0mg pod is not governed by the strength limit, though every pod we sell is 2ml regardless. One point worth absorbing: the kits are not strength-locked. A BM6000 device will run a 0mg pod on Monday and a 20mg pod on Friday, because strength lives in the pod, not the hardware. Buying the 10mg kit determines what arrives in the box, nothing more.

First-time setup, charging and priming

None of these kits need assembly, but a few minutes spent doing the first steps properly will make the first pod taste considerably better than it otherwise would.

Out of the box and onto charge

Devices arrive partly charged, so plug the kit into USB-C and leave it while you read the leaflet. A normal phone charger or laptop port is fine; there is no benefit to a high-output charger. The Nera Fullview kits show charge status on the display; the BM600 and BM6000 use an indicator light.

Priming a new pod, and why it matters

A fresh pod arrives with a dry or only partly wetted wick, and firing a dry wick is the fastest way to ruin a pod's flavour permanently. Priming simply means letting the liquid soak into the wick before any power reaches the coil.

• Remove the stopper or seal from the base of the pod and any sticker from the mouthpiece.
• Seat the pod into the device until it clicks home or the magnets pull it flush. It should not need force.
• Leave the assembled kit standing upright for three to five minutes. Longer does no harm.
• Take two or three short draws with the device switched off or without inhaling, purely to pull liquid through.
• Start with gentle, short draws for the first few minutes rather than long hard ones.

A properly primed pod tastes clean from the first draw. A pod fired dry carries a scorched note no amount of resting will remove, and is simply spent. This is the most valuable habit in prefilled pod use, and it costs five minutes.

Changing flavours without muddying them

Because the coil lives inside the pod rather than inside the device, swapping flavours on these kits is close to instant. Pull one pod out, push the next one in, and the new coil brings its own clean wick with it. There is no tank to rinse and nothing to strip down.

What does carry over is residue on the mouthpiece and in the pod recess. Moving from something assertive to something delicate, wipe the recess and contacts with a dry tissue or cotton bud first. Going from Latte BM6000 or Dubai Chocolate Nera 15k into a light fruit is the classic case where a ten-second wipe makes a real difference.

Looking after the kit day to day

These are simple devices and they ask very little, but a handful of habits will keep one working properly for its whole life.

Contacts, condensation and pocket lint

The most common cause of a device that suddenly seems weak or dead is not the battery. It is a thin film of condensed liquid or a wad of pocket fluff sitting between the pod contacts and the device contacts. A dry cotton bud in the pod recess, done weekly, prevents almost all of it. Do not use water, alcohol or any cleaning product on the contacts, and do not poke anything metal into the recess.

Condensation in the pod's airway is normal. Droplets in the mouthpiece are vapour that cooled between draws; tip the pod mouthpiece-down onto a tissue and tap gently to clear it.

Charging habits and carrying the device

Top up little and often rather than running the device flat and then filling it from empty. Charge it on a hard surface rather than under a pillow or in a bag, unplug it once it is done, and use a cable and plug you trust. Store the kit at room temperature and keep it out of a hot car and off a sunny windowsill, because heat is what degrades both the cell and the liquid in the pod.

Storing spare pods properly

Buying pods by the box only makes financial sense if the spares are still good when you reach them, and pods do age. Liquid darkens over time through ordinary oxidation, which is not a fault but does shift the flavour, usually making sweet profiles taste heavier and citrus profiles taste flatter.

• Keep unopened pods in their sealed packaging until you need them. The seal is doing real work.
• Store them somewhere cool, dark and dry. A drawer beats a windowsill, a kitchen cupboard beats the top of the fridge.
• Rotate your stock so the oldest pod in the drawer is the next one you open.
• Keep every pod and every device out of reach of children and animals, without exception.
• Do not store pods loose in a bag where the seal can be pierced by keys.

Citrus and menthol are least tolerant of long storage, so if a box of ten contains a lemon profile, open it earlier in the rotation. Darker berry and dessert profiles hold up better. The same applies to our strawberry and watermelon ranges, where a fresh pod and a nine-month-old one can taste noticeably different.

End of life: what to do with spent pods and old devices

Every pod you use and every device you eventually retire has a correct destination, and it is not the household bin. Pods contain plastic, metal and residual liquid. Devices contain a lithium cell that does not belong in general waste or in the kerbside recycling box, because those streams are not designed to handle batteries.

Spent pods

Collect used pods in a lidded container rather than dropping each one in the bin as you finish it. When you have a handful, take them to a vape product recycling point. Many vape retailers with a physical shopfront operate a take-back bin, and local authority household waste recycling centres accept them too.
