Every one of the following comes from the same root cause — assuming the name on the front of the box tells you what is inside it. In this particular corner of the range it rarely does.

• Assuming Mad Blue is a blueberry. It is a confectionery blue in the Blue Razz family. If you wanted the jammy dark fruit, you wanted Blueberry.

• Assuming the iced version is the same liquid with cooling added. Cooling changes the balance of the whole blend, not just the finish. Blueberry Raspberry Ice is a different flavour from Blueberry Raspberry, not an upgrade of it.
• Assuming a 10ml bottle will taste exactly like the pod. The pod comes with its coil and airflow pre-tuned to the liquid. The bottle does not, so your own device decides how it lands.
• Buying two dark-berry stacks at once. Blueberry Cherry Cranberry and Blueberry Cranberry Cherry overlap heavily. Buying both gives you far less variety than buying one of them plus a straight or sour blue.

Two more that are easy to avoid

The first is ignoring the strength selector. Nicotine strength varies line by line in this range, so a flavour you bought at 10mg/ml in one format may default to 20mg/ml in another.
